Testimonials

  • I loved my time learning with Simone! She is very clear and concise in the way she teaches and very passionate about deep rest. The structure of the Restorative training was excellent as I learned the theory and had ample opportunities to practice the poses under Simone's guidance. The training helped me understand the significance of the restorative practice and gave me confidence to lead others into restful poses. Since the training, I have been teaching Restorative classes and workshops. Join Simione for her next training to experience her magic!

  • There are too many people who call themselves Yoga Teachers without the substance to back it up. Simone Nitzan, by far, is the real deal! Her knowledge of both the oral and written yoga traditions and her personal practice infuse her teachings. She often begins the class by sharing something she read that inspired her. She has a magical way of expanding space and time to yield an experience of breadth and depth that extends beyond the Yoga mat into everyday life. Her respect for the tradition and high standards are balanced with patience, love, and acceptance for her students. Her commitment and dedication to further her learning keeps her classes fresh and alive. I feel fortunate and grateful to be able to call Simon my teacher. Namaste.

Meet Your Teacher

  • The experience of consciously and fluidly linking the breath and movement inspires Simone in her practice and teaching. Her personal practice informs her teaching, and she draws on elements of vinyasa, restorative yoga, yin yoga, science-based alignment and mindful movement in her classes. She believes practicing yoga leads to a meditative state and expands our awareness of ourselves. Her classes bridge awareness of the breath with the alignment of the body and mind.

Simone is a mother, anatomy and yoga teacher, massage therapist and yoga student for life. She has been teaching since 2009 and has studied with a variety of teachers, including Judith Hansen Lasater, the mother of Restorative Yoga and her daughter Lizzie Lasater.

Simone brings her expertise in anatomy and physiology into the yoga room, where she works to inform her students how to safely and sustainably work with their bodies through Yoga Asana, the breath and other energetic elements of the practice. She believes yoga can help heal physical and emotional injury, and she works with her students to find the unique practices that work for each of their body-minds.

Now an experienced teacher and teacher trainer, Simone has taught functional anatomy, physiology, and yoga in Tel Aviv’s Lotus Yoga School (where she co-directed teacher trainings) and studied under mentors like Stacey Brass Russell and Judith Hanson Lasater, becoming a certified Relax and Renew® Restorative Yoga instructor. Blending science and spirit, she guides students toward mindful movement with deep gratitude for her teachers—and a commitment to sharing yoga’s transformative gifts.
